What have you been doing since you left TCU:
I moved to New York City in 2000, where I lived for six years. I built my acting resume up there with
various off-Broadway companies, playing such roles as Louis in Angels in America, Parts I & II and Mark in Mass Appeal. I took further acting classes at H.B. Studio and the Michael Chekhov Acting Studio, and worked behind the camera with numerous NYC based film production companies. I've also worked extensively with Amphibian Stage Productions, acting in their main stageshows both in Fort Worth and New York, such as Buyer's Market (Hemmingway) and Leonce and Lena (Chaplain, etc.), and in six of their staged readings, including The Talented Mr. Ripley and Credeaux Canvas. I also composed and directed an outreach project for Amphibian, based on the odes of Pablo Neruda, still running in the Fort Worth community.
What are you doing now:
I just recently moved to Chicago, IL, where my girlfriend and I got cast in the Midwest premiere of Debbie Does Dallas The Musical, a hilarious comedy based on the infamous film by the same name. She plays Debbie and I play her boss, Mr. Greenfelt, and, no, the company did not know we were dating when they hired us. We open tomorrow, (Valentine's Day - a wonderful date) and run for the next seven weeks. I am currently seeking representation here in Chicago. I want to thank all the teachers and members of the TCU Theatre department 1996-2000, and beyond, for their truly professional and brilliant leadership that has made all of this possible!

I worked for a year or so in Lincoln NE as a TD, then switched gears entirely and entered the wonderful world of live music as the TD of a 10,000 seat arena and 2440 old movie/vaudeville house in Rockford, Illinois. After a while they asked me to book the acts also (must have learned something in Dr. Collier's class). Booking acts eventually became the primary part of the job--along with other management stuff.Time for an early mid life crises career change and law school. Received a JD from Northern Illinois University College of Law in 1996 and passed the Illinois bar. (Theater skills sometimes do come in handy.) During the 80s and 90s I worked on a fair number outdoor festivals in the Rockford area Along the way I met and married Meg, a very patient person.

What have you been doing since you left TCU?
I have been taking a lot of medical and science courses and been working and learning a lot in Emergency Rooms for a couple years. I moved to Virginia in summer 2009, planning to attend medical school but by the time I moved I was contemplating something that would give me more freedom to treat patients the way I believe is best.. I worked at the largest trauma center in the DC area but I had not yet figured out what profession would allow me the freedom and creativity to help the ill and injured. Then an opportunity fell out of the sky: I am currently employed by a ballet company and performing arts school. I am a teacher, choreographer, performer and counselour. I've also been working with the youth at my church and at starbucks. I've taking classes on the side to potentially earn a double masters in Dance and Exercise Kinesiology, emphasis in Clinical Physiotherapy. I've been smiling a lot.
What are you doing now?
I am currently employed by a ballet company and performing arts school with studios in Northern Virginia and Maryland. I am an instructor, choreographer, performer and counselour. I am also in charge of designing and designating an outreach program in the VA, MD, DC area. I am currently developing a phyisal therapy based dance and music program for 1. Injured dancers (there are a lot and from personal experience I know the soul of a dancer can be discouraged when they are unable to dance...so I am making it possible for everyone) and 2 .People with or in remission from chronic illnesses. It combines my love of the arts (especially my first and unfading love for ballet) and my passion to work with and bring joy to the injured and ill. I hope to open my own dance studio which will include both intesive dance and music classes and the physical therapy dance program I am designing, I am also the female youth counselour for Jr and Sr high girls at my church. I've also kept my starbucks job for 5 years now - just for kicks. Maybe I'll be in the Barista Book of World records someday ."Right now" I am smiling because I am about to go work on some choreography for an Arabian themed contemporary ballet piece...love making shapes with the human body.

Years Attended: 1981-1985
Degree: B.F.A. - Theatre
What have you been doing since you left TCU?
Co-created and ran New Moon Productions Theatre Company for ten years in Texas. Our company focused on youth theatre and adult classics. We've produced over 50+ plays, all but
four I directed and 14 of which I wrote. We also did several well received Shakespeare productions. Over 8,000 children came through our programs as have hundreds of adult actors. Also during that time I also squeezed in writing and performing in two comedy troupes, acting in other area theatres, and lots of murder mysteries. Now I live in Oregon and New Moon is focusing
on theatre classes for youth, summer camps, and the occasional production.
What are you doing now:
Producing, teaching, and directing youth theatre. Also doing quite a bit of writing. Loving my life here in Oregon!
