JENNIFER ENGLER

Jennifer was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas, and comes
to TCU from the Minneapolis area where she taught directing,
acting and dance for three years at Minnesota State
University-Mankato. She has a BFA from Emporia State
University and an MFA in Acting from Michigan State
University. She teaches acting and movement at TCU and
she also directs and/or choreographs Theatre TCU productions
each year. Jennifer has worked professionally in the
Minneapolis, Kansas City and Detroit areas as a director,
choreographer and actor. She has studied and performed
with Second City and the Midwest Shakespeare Tour. Her
choreography for The Will Rogers Follies received
a Meritorious Achievement Award from the Kennedy Center
American College Theatre Festival and she has been a
five-time nominee for KCACTF’s Irene Ryan Acting
Scholarship. Jennifer was a member of the selection
committee and an Irene Ryan Scholarship respondent for
KCACTF, Region V, in 2001 and 2002. She is dedicated
to the process of artistic development and encourages
student growth through discipline and collaboration.
