MICHAEL SKINNER

Michael Skinner is the Lighting Designer at Texas
Christian University. He received his M.F.A. in Lighting
Design and Production from the University of Oklahoma.
He has designed the lighting for numerous productions
of theatre, opera, and dance in various venues. Michael
has had the pleasure of designing in Italy, Germany,
and Russia, including the Russian premiere of the American
musical The Fantasticks. Michael also designs
for Contemporary Ballet Dallas, with his most recent
designs including “An Evening with Hans Christian
Andersen” and “Champagne Kisses and Cadaver
Dreams.” Michael, as a member of the Southwest
Theatre Association, has presented numerous workshops
on computer technology and its use in theatre at SWTA
conferences. Michael’s work outside the theatre
includes consultation services for club lighting as
well as corporate event design and production with companies
such as Ignition! Creative Group and ZOOM.7, Inc. in
Dallas.
