ALPHA PSI OMEGA
TCU has an active chapter of Alpha Psi Omega, the national honorary
dramatic fraternity, open to both women and men. Alpha Psi
Omega is the largest national honor society in America. TCU’s
chapter members participate in a variety of service and social
activities.

USITT
The United States Institute for Theatre Technology’s primary
function is to disseminate information and facilitate communication
for the professional development of its members. The organization
was organized exclusively for charitable, educational, and scientific
purposes. Membership is offered to theatre professionals, faculty,
and students. USITT holds an annual conference each year, which
is usually attended by several TCU theatre faculty and students.
KENNEDY CENTER AMERICAN COLLEGE THEATRE FESTIVAL
Theatre TCU regularly participates in the activities of Region
VI of the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival, by
entering productions as participating or associate entries, participating
in the Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship auditions, as well as the
design, playwriting and other student programs. In recent years,
TCU has hosted two Region VI Festivals, and had students participate
at the Kennedy Center in the National Irene Ryan Scholarship
Auditions Winners’ Circle Evening of Scenes.
ASSAULT PREVENTION THEATRE
This TCU student group develops and performs original plays in
conjunction with the TCU Police Force dealing with such important
topics as date rape, and physical and emotional abuse.
