FACILITIES
PRODUCTION STUDIOS
TCU boasts a large Scenic Studio in the Walsh
Center, completed in 1998. It features more than 2,800 square feet
of space including
a 20’ x 45’ counterweighted paint frame for the
painting of full stage drops, and a spray booth for painting
of furniture
and stage properties. The Scenic Studio is equipped with a
loading dock, access to all four theatre spaces, and a variety
of floor,
power and pneumatic tools. The Studio supports a variety of
construction techniques including carpentry, foam carving,
scene painting
and welding.

TCU’s Costume Studio is located in the Ballet Building,
and features many professional machines, including both domestic
and industrial sewing machines, steamers, and industrial irons.
The Costume Studio also features a full set of head blocks, on-site
storage, catalogued patterns, a separate crafts area, a separate
laundry and dying area, and windows the full length of the studio.
