STAFF MEMBER
MICHELE ALFORD
Costume Studio Supervisor
B.F.A. – University of North Texas

In addition to overseeing the Costume Studio for
TCU’s Theatre Department, Michele teaches Practical
Costuming. After graduating from the University of North
Texas with a BFA in Fashion Design, Michele enjoyed
a career in the fashion industry as a first patternmaker
and designer for Russell-Newman, Inc., a leading women’s
sleepwear design firm. She has done freelance work in
both fashion and costume design. Michele joined the
staff of TCU in 2002 and continues to work in professional
theatres around the Dallas-Fort Worth area as a cutter,
stitcher and dresser. She is a member of USITT and attends
regional and national symposia and meetings. She has
been listed in Who’s Who Among American Teachers.
Michele is married to local actor and Director of Theatre
at TCC Northwest, J. Brent Alford, and they have one
young son.
