HEATHER CARR
Costume Technician

Heather received her BFA in Theatre (Emphasis: Costume Design) and Radio, Television and Film, with a minor in Fashion Design from Texas Christian University. After completing her bachelor’s degree, she worked for the Fort Worth Ballet and then traveled to Oregon and Colorado, doing seasonal work at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, Oregon, and at the Denver Theatre Center.
Heather has done free-lance work in cutting, draping and building costumes locally for Shakespeare in the Park, Dallas Shakespeare, SMU, The Fort Worth Opera, and Casa Manana. She has had the opportunity of sharing her love of sewing, while teaching quilting, sewing and smocking at a Fort Worth sewing store.
Heather is a member of USITT and attends Costume Symposia. Her husband, Bevan is an Engineer at Lockheed Martin. Heather has enjoyed doing temporary work for TCU over the years, while raising two daughters. She is happy to join the Costume Studio staff as TCU’s Costume Technician.
