PHILIP ZIELKE

Philip Zielke is the Scenic Studio Supervisor at Texas Christian University. Originally from Fort Worth and a graduate of Arlington Heights High School, Philip received his BFA in Theatre Lighting Design from TCU in 2006. After graduating TCU, Philip has been the Technical Director for two local theatre companies, Amphibian Productions and Kids Who Care where he helped produce two shows for each company over the summer. He has also served as a carpenter for the local I.A.T.S.E. union, and local professional theatres including Stage West and Kids Who Care. During Philip’s time at TCU he functioned as the Lighting Designer for Burning Patience, Book of Days, and Misalliance, and he worked as the Master Electrician on over 10 Theatre TCU productions. He has also worked for regional theatres including Ector Theatricals in Odessa, Texas where he was the Assistant Technical Director for Beauty and the Beast. Philip is a national member of the United States Institute for Theatre Technology.
